Thu 16 Sep Glossy Black Cockatoo Mapleton Forest Reserve, Sunshine
Coast hinterland
Two Glossy Black Cockatoos in Gheerulla Valley. Other species included
Paradise Riflebird, Russet-tailed Thrush, White-eared Monarch, Logrunner
and the first Cicadabirds and Black-faced Monarchs of the season.

Two Channel-billed Cuckoos in trees at school property.

Grey Goshawk (grey morph) Cedar Creek Road, Cedar Creek (Gold
Coast Hinterland)
Goshawk heard calling near creek in large eucalyptus - lorikeets,
magpie-larks, magpies etc. alarmed so I went to investgate. Grey Goshawk
flew out of trees and all birds scattered, including one common
bronzewing. Observed one grey goshawk circling overhead for several
minutes and then noticed the second bird much higher up. (Editor's note:
photograph deleted as to dark)
