Good morning Birding Ausers Gavin and I have made a last minute decision to head to Fiji next Friday for a weeks holiday. Field Guide is on its way. We would be grateful for any information on birding in Fiji plus advice on places to stay. We prefer middle of the road places off the beaten track - places that look after the interests of birders would be a bonus. Is it possible to hire cars and drive around by yourself without risking life and limb? How easy is it to island hop to maximize picking up as many endemics as possible. Information on good local guides with 'going rates' per day would also be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance!
