Birds for peace in Israel

The Israeli Knesset is the only parliament in the world with a bird sanctuary.
Birds migrating between Africa and Asia and Europe use the sanctuary to break
their journey. One billion migratory birds fly over Israel, using thermals to
avoid the Mediterranean Sea. Yossi Leshem says Israel has over 500 species of
native birds -- a large number for such a small country.
