Hi all

Last week I photographed a Splendid Fairy-wren in central Australia. Did I
photograph race musgravi as suggested by Morcombe 2003, or did I photograph
race callainus as suggested by Pizzey 2007? A photo of the bird in question
can be found here:

We did not see any Princess Parrots last week. We spent two days looking for
them on the Mereenie loop road, but had no success. We did not trespass. We
also looked for Princess Parrots in the Desert Oak around Curtain Springs.
No luck there either.

Regards
Jon Thornton
