Hi all,

A few people had problems downloading the identification pdf for OBPs. Details
can be found here:

It's worth noting that the next survey dates for 2010 are 11-12 September.
Please contact your regional coordinator to get involved. See:

Cheers and thanks,

Tim Dolby

Hi all,

Here are the results of July survey for Orange-bellied Parrot in
Victoria and South Australia:

5 OBPs Swan Bay VIC
3 OBPs Lower South East SA
3 OBPs Northern Coorong SA

As can be seen by these results the number of birds recorded is
extremely low. The Threatened Bird Network relies heavily on volunteers
seeing these birds, so please keep your eyes and ears open for OBPS
along the southern Australian coastline. A detailed brochure for
identifying OBPs can be found at:

http://www.birdsaustralia.com.au/images/stories/current-projects/obp/B.A
._OBP_for_web_low.pdf

Please report any sighting to Birds Australia, see:

http://www.birdsaustralia.com.au/our-projects/volunteer-to-help-obps.htm
l

If you would like to contribute to future OBP counts please contact
Janelle Thomas (Threatened Bird Network Coordinator)
 or Chris Purnell

Thanks,

Tim Dolby
