G'day everyone,

I'm currently planning a trip to go birding for 2 days in Cairns in November. I
was mostly interested in spending time around the Cairns Esplanade looking for
the different shorebirds that we dont get down here.

Species I am interested in seeing are Beach Stone-curlews, Dowitchers, and
basically anything that you wouldn't normally see in Sydney. I'm also
interested in seeing any Crake or Rail species located in the area.

It will be my first time to Cairns, and as I wont have any means of transport I
was wondering how easy it is to get around on public transport, and if there
are other spots nearby that would be easily accesible.

Regards,
Mark
