Published sightings for the week ending 22 Aug 2010.

Sat 21 Aug      Azure Kingfisher Townsville Town Common Conservation
Park 
one possibly another, 1st viewpoint.

Fri 20 Aug      White-eared Monarch Paluma Range Nat Park (Paluma dam) 
One rather tame adult, at the carpark entrance for McLellands lookout;
species infrequently reported from the region.

Tue 17 Aug      Bridled Honeyeater Tyto Wetlands 
One definitely, possibly two, Bridled Honeyeaters feeding in 'bleeding
heart' till chased off by Yellow Oriel. First record for Tyto. No pic.
No sign past two days.

Sun 15 Aug      Painted Snipe and Black-Throated Finch Kondaparinga Road
- Near Mount Carbine 
One male Painted Snipe (flighty) and 8-10 Black-throated Finch (coming
to drink) observed at approximately 10 to 11 am. Along Kondaparinga Road
(gravel) north of Mount Carbine where there is a small farm dam on the
left hand side of the road. This is on private property.

See report 18/7 #14094, same tree, same bird(?) This is early for this
species (Moderator)
