Hi Brian,

Thanks for raising this issue. Dr Van Dyck's suggestion of planting shrubs 
in the understorey is a very wise one but I hope that people will plant 
locally occurring species and not the proliferation of non-local Grevilleas 
and bottlebrush that usually occurs.  Native vines, herbs, grasses and 
sedges/rushes are also important.
