Koren

I spent last week at Ned's Corner, west of Mildura. There has been a lot
of rain and many dirt tracks were impassable but everything is green and
lush. Mallee eucalypts are in flower and there are several species of
honeyeaters foraging.

I didn't go to Hattah but I was told that there is water in the lakes.

It's around one and half hours to two hours from Mildura to Mungo and it is
certainly worth the trip for the scenery alone.

Hi all,

I may be making a quick trip to Mildura (from Albury) over the upcoming
long weekend. I won't have too much time, but hope to get in some birding,
so any recent info on good birding spots in the area would be welcome. In
particular, is there currently water in the lakes at Hattah? Also, is
it worthwhile to plan a day trip to Mungo from Mildura, either in terms of
birding or just general scenery?

Cheers, Koren Koren Mitchell
