On Saturday 22 May, I joined the group taking part in the OBP survey at
WTP. Debbie, Tony and Stewart and I headed off to the Borrow Pits and we
noticed several Brown Falcons as we drove down Paradise Road. When we
stopped at the gate before Little River, we saw three Brown Falcons perched
on adjacent fence posts and a fourth on the ground a couple of metres away.

We drove down the north side of Little River to the coast and then headed
east. Here we saw seven Brown Falcons perched on fence posts and an eighth
on the track. They flew off and assembled again further east. This time
there were eleven Brown Falcons on fence posts and another on the track.

We noticed that one was feeding and we stopped to see if we could determine
what it was eating. It had dropped three very dark grey feathers still
partially covered by quills.

We saw other individual Brown Falcons and several casts of three or four
during the rest of our visit.
