I wonder if there is a Melbourne-based birder who has some local knowledge
on the Gardiner's Creek area around Ashburton and East Malvern (see request
below). If so, perhaps they could correspond directly with Peter. Thanks.
Richard

Dear Richard

RE: School Science Project on Biodiversity

Thank you so much for your time last week where you imparted your
knowledge about reasons for bird life population movements and also
your offer of placing a request for additional information
specific to the Gardiner's Creek/Ashburton-East Malvern locale, see
below, on a chat line to gather further information. I am happy to
receive any information either via email <>
or via phone: 0409 274 476.

"I am doing a science project on Biodiversity.
As a result of noticing more bird life in my local area, Gardiner's
Creek/Ashburton, I have decided to research the types of species and
the reasons for their arrival.
I am seeking information from local experts in this field:
. What particular bird species have become more dominant around
Gardiner's Creek/local area, and why these particular species?
. Has this affected other species? Which ones? How has it affected
them?

If anyone can assist with local knowledge and information concerning
the questions I am investigating, I would very much appreciate your
response. Could the source of information be included also? If you
could direct me to appropriate websites or literature, it would be
greatly appreciated.
I am happy to receive any feedback regarding this project either via
my email address <> or via telephone: 0409
274 476.
I am hoping to conclude my research by the 2nd of May.
Many thanks, Peter"

Regards

Peter Smart
