Recording and reporting rarities

A new website has recently been launched in South Africa
<http://www.rarities.co.za> www.rarities.co.za which is a new concept in
recording and reporting birding rarities.

 

Whilst we have various means of reporting rarities in Australia, it would be
quite difficult to go back say 10 or 20 years and get a history of reported
rarities. We also have the records from BARC but that involves a bit of
searching to find the specific birds of interest. 

 

This website also has the Google maps feature which is very useful to see
where the specific rarity has been seen.
