Just a thought:

I play Noisy and Bell miner calls to the Noisy Miners here with my iPod.

It doesn't make them go away or stop breeding (contra tape-luring stories) but
it sure does p*** them off:-)

I figure as they cause so much grief to what residents I have left it's a fair
thing to do and they may eventually get the message!

I've gone from a bird list of around 80 in the garden to less than 30 in last
ten years: and it's all down to them!

Alan ;-)

P S I can't play Bell Miner too long as it gets to me too!

Cas,

Sorry to say no joy and the snakes get tangled in the mower blades!
I've also tried hanging CDs to no avail.

The recent Birding-aus thread on trapping Mynahs seems the only sure way.

Good luck,
Ivor
