Good morning,
120+ WTNT flying east at 30 to 100 metres above the ground in a band 200 metres
wide over a period of 10 minutes. Mostly the birds were singles but groups of
up to 8 also present. Very few possible feeding behaviours observed (2). The
weather was fine with some blue sky to the west. A light air from the east has
since brought in low cloud and drizzle. Australian Swiftlets were also present
and appeared to be feeding as they moved more slowly in the same general
direction. Two Welcome Swallows seen during this time but they often feed in
this area.
