g'Day all

The Little Curlews discovered by Teresa Jack at Bird Island Conservation Park Road south of Wallaroo and reported by her on Birdpedia early last week were present this morning at the same place. At one point they flew off rapidly to the north gaining remarkable height until disappearing beyond sight but 1/2 hr later had returned. It appears these birds are reasonably settled within their paddock but will sometimes squat behind vegetation and remain almost motionless. If absent they will often return after an hour or two. Mornings before 9.00 is best but note they have also been seen throughout the day until late afternoon.

Regards

Ian May
