That behaviour sounds more like noisy miners, they can be quite aggressive,
swooping a bit like a magpie. I think someone's got the name wrong.

Alfred Hitchcock.

Following the demolition of a beautiful Ironbark next door to make way for a

McMansion, my yard has been dominated by Mynas.  Not particularly nice 
birds, but they've never gone me.
