Gooday birders
I am not currently a member of either organisation but will put in my two
bobs worth. It seems to me that two competing organisations, like State
Governments, are an over servicing of a small population, even if Australia
reaches 35 million people. Their joining forces may make them more
politically powerful. With the ability to communicate easily on the internet
do we need two such organisations? With joining a single organisation we may
be able to get with membership more Journals covering a wider field rather
than two or more Australian bird Journals. Maybe broader based Australian
Journals, for example Wildlife Research, or an overseas bird Journal could
be part of the package.
