A pair of Bush Thickknees at the Roma St Parklands [Brisbane] are minding a chick. You can tell when it is breeding time when they start showing up in garden beds they don't normally frequent at other times of the year.

Hi all,

Good to be back.

We arrived back from Bruce's treatment in Brisbane to find White-faced
Herons nesting in the Coastal Melaleuca with a very visible nest about 20' away and 30 feet up ; Little Friarbirds in the same tree about 10' away and 12' from ground level (nest hidden); and Willie Wagtails on the Poinciana about 15' away. This made for some interesting dynamics over the festive
season. Welcome home!

Spotted eight Bush Stone- curlews on grass kerb opposite Sea World entrance
at 12:30pm today.

Regards,

Judy
