Perhaps the Koel is another cyclone refugee from northern Australia - Cyclone Larry in north-west WA in December or Cyclone Olga currently hovering over Qld? Stephen Ambrose Ryde NSW -----Original Message----- From: On Behalf Of Frank O'Connor Sent: Sunday, 31 January 2010 7:05 PM To: birdswa email list; Subject: Koel at Parry Beach Denmark WA There is a juvenile koel at Parry Beach at Denmark on the south coast of WA. I have sent the photos to the experts to see if it is Asian or Eastern (I suspect it is Eastern). An amazing record as it doesn't normally come further south than Broome. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
