I'm not sure that's totally right, although a lot of passerines do hop and most 
(?all) non-passerines walk. However, some passerines do walk/run, pipts being a 
good example. Australian Magpie, crows and ravens are also passerines as far as 
I know and all walk, so there are quite a few exeptions, although perhaps it 
works OK as a general rule



Nice to hear the cyclone has turned up some interesting birds, too!
