Hi Folks.

I'm leaving my beloved Alice Springs to go to South West Rocks in Mid-North
Coast NSW (near Kempsey) for 3 weeks to visit rellies. I've been birding there
a few times before at spots like Arakoon heathlands and in the mudflats &
mangroves on the river but if anyone has good tips for spots there it would be
appreciated. I'll have a 2wd car for some of that time and I aim to go birding
at sites within 2 or 3 hours of the Rocks: any suggestions?

I'll be heading off to Tas after that to walk the Overland Track then have a
stint at Huon Valley & Tasman Peninsula. Anyone know any good sites at those 3
locations for Ground Parrot and/or Emu-wren?

All info appreciated.

Cheers
Mark Carter
