Hi Martin
We had a local twitchathon on Oct 31 in the SE of SA and one of the birds we
noted in good numbers were floating Short-tails, didn't see a single dead one
but there were many sitting on the water, one close in I was able to approach
very closely and it managed a peck but that seemed to be the extent of its
energy.

On a second note I noticed someone had rescued an Arctic Jaeger, we also had
one at Stony Point SE of SA on Oct 31.
