Hello everyone,
I haven't posted here for a few years, and am now retired up in Bellingen. Our
little group of 'Bellingen' Birders' have just returned from a 4-day trip to
Roseneath Station 70km west of Tenterfield in northern NSW. I thought I should
mention the great time we had, and the hospitality of Dell, the owner of the
2500ha grazing property. We stayed in nicely-upgraded shearers' quarters and
Dell took us to all the good spots around the place - with the usual mix of
'grassy woodland' species - lots of Speckled Warblers, Hooded Robins and some
Turquoise Parrots etc. Highlights were a couple of Ground Cuckoo-shrikes on the
river flats, which are apparently have been around for a while + two Black
Honeyeaters feeding in grevillea. If you are passing that way check out
www.roseneathstation.com.au.

All the best, Richard
