I have to agree with Denise on this point. Last year when some of us
went into Leanyer with Niven we saw some other birder just wandering
around on foot . We didn't actually see whether he got eaten or not but
also didn't hear of any missing birder. We stayed in the car and got
excellent views and pictures of the Grebe.

Management at PAWA is really concerned about the big estuarine croc in
Leanyer Sewage Ponds - they haven't been able to catch it. And I don't
think this one is like Ben, the croc that the sewage pond workers used
to feed, and ended up so tame they used to stroke it.
Consequently I'm not taking anyone in at the moment just in case they
turn out to be a birder so obsessed with a new twitch that they can't
