There was also a Rufous Songlark calling strongly at Eastlakes today.
It was calling from very low down, and maybe even on the ground. Is this
standard behaviour; I am used to them caling eiter while flying, or on a
readily visible perch. There were also two Black-tailed Native Hens at the
course, which I would presume were blown in with the dust (and probably th
Songlark).
