Subject: | Ku-ring-gai - strange cockatoo calls? |

Hi all, While hiking between Berowra and Mt Ku-ring-gai (well, more like a forced march, but that's another story) on Saturday I heard what I think were cockatoo calls, but not like any that I recognised. It was right on dusk (hence the forced march) and whatever the birds were, they were in amongst the sulpher-crested cockatoos that were also noisily settling for the night. I didn't get a chance to stop and look and didn't have binocs in any case. Can anyone suggest what I might have heard? They weren't gang-gang calls, nor were they like the yellow-tailed black cockatoos that I have heard before. Neither did they sound like juvenile feeding-type calls. Cheers, Koren Koren Mitchell Albury, Australia =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
