Nothing detailed but I have seen Osprey around Comerong Island and
the Sholahaven area in the 80's.

It has been reported that Eastern Ospreys have been nesting for many
years at St Georges Basin, on the Shoalhaven. North (1912) quoted a
report of a pair nesting in a lofty gum tree at St Georges Basin. As
there were no confirmed reports of Ospreys ever nesting in New South
Wales south of Lake Macquarie I suspected that the St Georges Basin
report may have referred to a nest of the White-bellied Sea-Eagle. I
was told recently that Ospey were nesting there in the 1970s and
therefore the North record may have been a good one.
Does anyone have confirmed records of Ospreys nesting at St Georges
Basin in the past? Photos would be great!!
