A nursery owner near Katherine, NT, told me of Torresian crows hunting cane toads by stabbing through the black plastic that covered the ground.  I also witnessed a crow at Gunlom Falls, Kakadu, pulling apart a cane toad for her hungry youngster.  She did it very carefully!
