Dear All,

I have just watched an introduction to a new search engine called WolframApha. WolframAlpha calls itself a computational knowledge engine. It is not so much a competitor to Google, as the next step in search engines. I won't try to explain any further, you can have a look at the intro and other info about it at http://blog.wolframalpha.com/

I am rather gob-smacked by the potential of it. Did you know that the daily tonnage of fish produced in France is approx. 20% of the tonnage of garbage produced in New York. That little gem of knowledge may not be much se to most of us, but where else can you find out that kind of data. I cant wait to see what sort of info on birds one can generate from it.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
