Saw 150+ Top-knots today (21st). They were in flocks of 30-50+ along the
Pacific Highway between Lisarow and Ourimbah (Central Coast NSW).

This a seasonal event that occurs around this time every year. The
Top-knots come down from the wet forest to feed on the Camphor Laurels
which line the railway between Lisarow and Ourimbah. They only come to
feed then travel west each evening.

They started a week or so ago when I was seeing flocks of 10+, but
numbers have built up steadily in this time.

I would expect them to be here for the next 4-6 weeks or even longer.

Best Regards

Allan Benson
