Went for another look at the AGP and to see if the PGPs were into full
breeding plumage at Boat Harbour this morning. I couldn't find any Golden
plovers at all, tide has quite high and occasionally waves washing over
parts of the rock shelf where they had been roosting previously. There
were still red necked stints, ruddy turnstones and double banded plovers
about, mostly hunkered down in little protected spots out of the wind. Ran
into Ann Lindsey from Newcastle just as I was leaving.
regards,
Chris Ross
