Hi Dean

An amazing coincidence !   You may have seen a recent thread on Birding-Aus
about Cuckoos with unusual calls.

And yesterday I had this phone call saying another Stygian Owl (presumably a
different bird) had also be seen in Lipraloof.

The final analysis is not yet in but it seems likely that there is a rare
sub-species associated with Christmas Trees with a distribution map which
must now be extended to Lake Erie.
