Hi Stephen,
I think somehow I am having a bad day !!!
When you referred to the two names 'Eyre' being 2000kms apart I thought that
you meant two observatories..................I thought it a little strange, as
i have been up to Lake Eyre and flown out over the Lake from Williams Creek and
had never heard of a Observatory----- still there are many things in this life
that one misses because they are unaware they exist, and it could have been
that an Observatory at Lake Eyre is one !
Cheers,
David.

  Hi David,
I wasn't aware that Lake Eyre had an observatory either.
  All the best,
  Stephen

  Hi Stephen,
I think that reading all the correspondence on the filling of Lake Eyre I
must have finished with water on the
brain....................................yes of course I was referring to the
Eyre Observatory at Cocklebiddy, and of course my heading of Swallows at Lake
Eyre Observatory was a slip of the fingers.
As a matterof interest I was not aware that Lake Eyre had an
Observatory.............where is it precisely ?
  Cheers,
  David.S
