Interesting you should mention King Parrots in suburbia. Over just the last few 
days I have noticed a smallish (5-10) flock of King Parrots, all female I 
think, calling, and flying from tree to tree near our house in the western 
suburbs of Brisbane. We've been here for 27 years, and don't remember seeing 
these birds around here before.
