Yes, I agree. The Little Corellas seem to be seasonal. I also noticed last year
that they spent only the summer in the area and that they arrived around mid
January in both years. I think they disappeared some time in April last year (I
might be wrong). During that season there are/were smaller flocks (up to 50)
everywhere in both years: Leichhardt, Annandale, Camperdown, USyd Campus.
However, the flock of 300+ I saw last week was the largest I've seen so far
within this area (maybe because I rarely spend time east of the campus).
In August/September 2007 there were a few Long-billed Corellas in the area
around Broad Way Shopping Centre accross the street from Victoria Park (in
addition to the flock at Centennial Park and the small population at Cumberland
SF).

This is the third year the flock of corellas has visited the area. They feed on
some trees along Salisbury and other roads in the Stanmore/Camperdown area when
the fruit is ripe. Each year it is amazing sight to come out in the morning to
all parked cars coated in greenery from the trees above where the corellas are
feeding. Not sure what the trees are but they don't have ripe fruit yet and I
notice they have been at other tree species in the meantime.
This year they turned up mid Jan, in 2008 it was about 23 Jan I first spotted
them and in 2007 it was end of Feb when the trees in question were beginning to
ripen their fruit.
I agree they appear to be little corellas.
