Galah-Corella cross breeding

G'day Mike

 

Here in Brisbane I have seen Galah-Corella cross breeding twice in the wild
in about 20 years.  The latest was about 2 years ago and the offspring
looked like a very pale Galah but called like a Little Corella.  It used to
hang about with both the Galahs and Corellas.   This bird was in
Kalinga/Shaw Park in inner northern Brisbane.   I have not seen it for some
time now.
