Hi Phil,

I don't want to sound too pedantic but when you used the term 'immature' did you really mean 'immature' or did you mean 'juvenile'. I agree that the bird is a Grey Fantail and would have said that it was a juvenile based on the heavy markings. If it is still in the plumage that it left the nest in it is a juvenile. If it has moulted it would be an immature. It is definitely a first year bird.
