Dear all,
On Sunday 18 January at around 11am, Piero Visconti and I found a single
Radjah Shelduck roosting in the trees at the first bird observation tower
on the left on the road into the Townsville common. The bird initially
flushed, but as we retreated back to the car park it returned. We were
able to approach and it showed really well.
In two years of birding in and around Townsville and across North
Queensland I have never seen this species.
Yours in birding,
Kind regards,
Duan Biggs
