Hi all
I was looking at Eremaea for possible sites for my forthcoming trip to Myall Lakes/Hawks Nest/Tea Gardens and noticed the following recently posted list for Hexham Swamp, near Newcastle NSW. http://www.eremaea.com/SiteRegionsSurvey.aspx?Region=16&Survey=37460 My attention was taken by the record of a pair of Painted Snipe - I am not sure if Grant Brosie is a member of this forum, but I would be interested if he (or any other Hunter Region observers) could shed any light on this (eg access, where they were etc) as, if feasible, I could make an attempt for them on my way north. I notice that the list was only posted to Eremaea today (8 Jan) so the observation itself may not have made it past the site moderators onto Birdline NSW yet.
Cheers
Tom Wilson
