Having recently had my Garmin GPS II Plus ( and two hand held UHF
radios) stolen from a hire vehicle at Mapleton Falls in SE Queensland
I'm now on the lookout for a replacement item. Until now I have resisted
the temptation to buy one of the regular street navigation units for my
car but have now in mind the deal being offered by Dick Smith and others
of a Garmin nuvi 760 with an Etrex thrown in. I'm aware that the Etrex
will do pretty much the same, if not more than the GPS II, but it's free
with the nuvi 760 so why not? Dick Smith is offering this package at
$538.
Does anyone out there have first hand experience with either of these
and be willing to pass comment, privately or on this net, which would
help me in making a decision to purchase or otherwise.

Thanks in advance. Tony.
