Hi all

The two young have some flight feathers now. I saw them today on the
live TV feed to the foyer of 367 Collins Street (still marked as the Optus
building) with later good views of two adults from the seats of a coffee
shop at the rear (south) side.

Later I saw birds first with a good view of the nest site, which is on the
east side of the south-east corner of the building below the top storey
windows, from the north bank of the Yarra (via the railway pedestrian tunnel
from Flinders St opposite Elizabeth St.). Second, having a beer - and
working on papers - at the Othello bar on the other side of the Yarra.

The Age video is, I think, no longer on their web site. I thought it said
they were at a new site: but my records and
http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/high-on-family-time/2007/10/18/1192300954573.html
say the species nested at #367 last year and, with a break or two - most
recently due to poisoning - back to 1991.

For those interested in such things, I have been re-elected as a Bayside
Councillor, this time for 4 years.

Best wishes

Michael Norris
