Matz, You won't find Scrub-birds within less than a five-hour drive and a long-ish walk on top of that from Sydney. That's before you take into account the likely hours you'll spend trying to get a glimpse of one! The nearest location I'm aware of is Barrington/Gloucestor Tops to the north. If you only have a day in Sydney, you'd be better focusing your energies elsewhere.
