Pelican and Seagull

My son sent me this delightful observation he made last Friday:

"On the way to work in the morning I rode along the South Perth
foreshore opposite the city (east of the Ferry terminal). There were a
group of seagulls flying around over the shallows and one Pelican
fishing. On it's back rode one of the (cheeky) seagulls. It was just
standing there and the Pelican went on with it's fishing seemingly
unconcerned for the 10-15 seconds I was watched. Very tolerant bird, I
thought, but then I guess the dexterity of a Pelican versus the agility
of a seagull made it sensible to just keep fishing."

Cheers

Syd
