Hi,

Just about to leave 1770 after a week with the family. A good place to visit!

Here are a couple of birding highlights, though I wasn't really birding - I as
here for the family.

1770 itself

76 Eastern Curlew on a high tide this morning on the sand banks in the middle
of the estuary.
Beach Stone Curlew - one flew past the town at sunset yesterday calling.
Rose-crowned Fruit Dove, Brown Cuckoo Dove, Mangrove Honeyeater, Mangrove
Gerygone, track that heads down peninsular just north of marina.
Lady Musgrave Island
White-bellied Sea-eagle (I was surprised to see this about 40 miles out to sea)
2 Great Frigatebirds over the island
Also, loads of Black Noddy, a few Black-naped Terns, Lesser Crested Tern (1),
Crested Terns, Silver Gulls (thanks to the visitor food), lots of Green
Turtles, Bottlenose Dolphins, Black-tipped Reef Sharks, a 4' long Wobbegong, 2
Manta Rays.

Regards,

Simon.
