Hi Graham
Yes, Andrew Taylor summed it up very well. Grey Currawongs are
regular sightings in the upper Blue Mountains and breed each year in
Wentworth Falls, Katoomba and Blackheath among other locations.
Your Emerald Dove is a VERY unusual sighting for the area. Can you
provide more details of the location and habitat? The bird found at
Woodford earlier this year is the only other Blue Mountains record
that I know of.
Cheers,
Carol

Hi, Walking the Six Foot Track the other day 1-10-08 near Jenolan
Caves cottages and we saw two Grey Currawongs on the forest floor -
birds I had not seen before in the Blue Mountains. Also a few km
before this saw an Emerald Dove foraging -another unusual sighting
for me in this area.
