Sandgropers

I recently came across a strange insect in the garden that my daughter 
discovered. I googled its description and found out that it is a 'Sandgroper'. 
To 
much surprise, I was shocked that I had heard such a common name for Western 
Aussie people but had never actually seen this insect. I have kept it in the 
freezer and have been telling my daughter as much as I can about this insect. 
Are 
you still researching them or would it be possible for you to send me some 
information on this bug so that she can take the frozen sandgroper and the 
information to school? If you could get back to me I would be most appreciated.
