There were two Koel calling in Lakemba for most of yesterday morning. Haven't heard any around Northern Beaches yet?

All these reports about Koels has me wondering where the 'our' Koel has got to -- haven't heard any so far this year, in Auchenflower, inner west of Brisbane, not even in the distance. Anyone else in this general area (Paddo, Bardon, Toowong, Indo, etc) got theirs yet?

I have not yet heard any Koels here as yet this year either. I'm very interested in this because last year it seemed to me that last year there were more early reports from Sydney than Brisbane ... we seem to get our Koels in October. Why would that be? Do they come from further north? It's very interesting.
