John. This is an outing arranged by the Cumberland Bird Observers Club. The idea is to visit various locations around Sydney's Hawkesbury district and to see how many raptor species can be found. Novice and intermediate birders in particular were able to learn a lot about raptor behaviour and identification from some of their more experienced colleagues. Around 35 club members and visitors attended and I am sure that most, like myself, would have found value in the day.

Peter Abbott.
