Go through the Border Ranges Nat Park - another good place to find RSBs and then pop down the Lindsay Hwy to Bald Rock/Girraween NPs.

I believe there are a few climbing routes on Kaputar and then you continue past the Warrumbungles before heading south east.

Birders,

We're heading up to Lamington for a few days next week, as part of a
10 day holiday. I want to go home via Mt Kaputar (there's a walk
around the top of an extinct volcano I'm keen to do), and am looking
for some inspiration for the bits in between. I figured from
O'reilleys we'd head west then south to Kaputar. There's no green bits
on the maps I've got (National Parks), but what's out there? Any
intersting birding sites? Wetlands and the like?
