By Wim's definition we have had hardly any summer in west Wales either - very 
few hours above 20 degrees, but the birds are all happily breeding and are 
finding food for their young despite the persistently cold and very windy 
weather. The flowers are excellent. I guess it will be a poor year for 
butterflies though.

I suspect this is good training for our trip to New Zealand later in the year!
